Review: Requiem (Delirium #3) by Lauren Oliver

Requiem (Delirium #3) by Lauren Oliver

Stars:

***IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS IN THE SERIES PLEASE DON'T READ ANY FURTHER TO AVOID SPOILING OF BOOK UNLESS YOU LIKE HAVING THINGS SPOILED THEN READ ON BUT YE BEEN WARNED!***

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has transformed. The nascent rebellion that was underway in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight. After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven. Pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels.
As Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain of the Wilds, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena and Hana's points of view. They live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

I finally have read the last book to the series and honestly I was let down by it. It was so many factors but what made this a three star was the end, the whole book was drawn out but when the climax happen it's rushed creating an unresolved ending for me. Lena loves Alex and the only reason she cared for Julian was because Alex was to believed to be dead so when Alex is alive I felt myself groan for the love triangle that was about to unfold. Julian is a very likable character and he ends up in the Wilds to be with Lena and then he has to deal with her basically pushing him away into this unknown world cause her ex-boyfriend is back. The wrap up with that was not satisfying and I wish that the author either kept Alex dead or never introduced Julian's character. Now to Hana, it is her POV that saved this from getting two stars. Her story was very interesting, I found myself wanting it to switch back from Lena's just to find out what was happening. Although, I didn't much care for how her story wrapped but it was better than Lena's so I won't gripe about it. This book did have it's OMG moments that kept me into it enough to continue reading, it was a disappointing way to end a series.
